Every month, I will choose a book to present on sale - for March 2026, this is my latest release, Steps of Courage.
It's book 1 in a new series, Mages of the Twin Worlds, which is a bit of a trope mix for Young Adult Fanasy. You see, you get portals, magick, shapeshifters, an ailing queen, a lost prince, a grumpy guard and two young women just out of high school who end up in a different world.
I put a lot of myself into those characters to be honest, even though they are all noticeably different. And then, I threw dangers and adventure at them, to see what they do.
They are all very brave, even the grumpy guard.
There is no active romance subplot, either (or, if you wish, very slow burn), but there is attraction between Krighen, the grumpy guard, and Judy, the former cheerleader. They actually have a moment where they bond through music. And the lost prince, Kreshanaris (nickname Crash) and Sara, the nerd, carefully treat each other as brother and sister. This book has no spice at all - but quite a bit of cuddling.
